Licensing and enforcement in Queensland

Licensing and enforcement in Queensland
A discussion with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.

What's the state of play with licensing in Queensland?  Do we have enough practitioners with the correct licences?  Do practitioners in the regions have access to the training and support they need?  And what does the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) think is going to happen with licensing in the future?

Over recent years, the fire protection sector has had concerns about the licensing scheme, the availability of training, and the enforcement processes used by the QBCC.

Practitioners have been frustrated about the costs of gaining qualifications, the sheer number of licence types, and perceived differences in how the agency treats urban and regional licensees.

In this webinar, Cameron Byram, Director of Licensing at the QBCC will be discussing the agency's current approach to licensing and describing what might happen over the next 12 months.

Members who wish to ask questions are encouraged to send them before the event to engagement@fpaa.com.au.
