Event Registration Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all events run by FPA Australia. Any questions about any of these should be directed to events@fpaa.com.au

Programming

FPA Australia’s events calendar is subject to change at the organiser's discretion. This includes the cancellation of events if minimum numbers are not met.

Registrations

Registrations for FPA Australia events are open to both members and non-members unless otherwise stated.

Payments

All payments must be received at the time of booking unless an invoice has been requested. In such a case, the invoice must be paid within 14 days and at least 48 hours before the event.

FPA Australia reserves the right to refuse entry into an event if registration fees have not been paid in full.

Booking confirmation

Attendees will receive an email confirmation and tax receipt upon successfully registering for an event.

FPA Australia member vouchers

FPA Australia members can use vouchers to pay for events. However, these vouchers:

  • can only be used by current, financial members of the Association
  • are limited to one $50 voucher per registration
  • must be redeemed at the time of payment against the cost of the registration, and any remaining amount after purchase is not redeemable for cash or credit
  • cannot be redeemed against social events, charity events, or non FPA Australia events
  • cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Registering others

Registrations can be made on behalf of others, however those being registered will have to be on their company’s roster if they wish to pay the member price or to use a voucher.

Members should ensure that their roster is up to date before making a registration. New users will need to be verified by the main contact of your company to be listed.

Transfer of registration

Registrations can be substituted for others if notified in writing up to 24 hours prior to the event.

If it is proposed to replace a FPA Australia member with a non-member, the difference in the registration fees will need to be paid in order for the person to attend.

Cancellations

Registrations can be cancelled and refunded up until seven days before an event if a request is made in writing. After this time, no refunds will be given.

Event postponement

If an event is postponed, your registration will automatically be transferred to the new date.

If you wish to cancel your registration instead, this can be done in writing at any time up until seven days before the event, in line with the cancellations clause above.

Attendance

If registrations for an event exceed the capacity of the venue, a standby list will be created for people to register their interest. This list will be prioritised in order of receipt of registration.

Content

The content and material of all seminars will remain the copyrighted property of FPA Australia for the purposes of reproduction and distribution.

FPA Australia reserves the exclusive rights regarding the management, delivery and conduct of the event including whether the event is to be recorded.

Other attendees cannot film or record seminars or webinars for any reason, unless with prior approval of FPA Australia.

Photography/videography

Attendees at FPA Australia events do so in the knowledge that they may be photographed or videoed.

A person attending a FPA Australia event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and the event organisers upon arrival, or contact FPA Australia in writing prior to the event.

By participating in a FPA Australia event, or by otherwise failing to make a request as outlined above, attendees are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify FPA Australia from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Use of photographs/videos

FPA Australia reserves the right to use any photograph or video taken at any of our events without the need for written permission.

Photos and footage may be used in publications or other media material produced, used, or contracted by FPA Australia including, but not limited to, brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, and the like.

To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without the written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian except in circumstances where the individual concerned was a presenter at an event.

Any person or organisation not affiliated with FPA Australia is not permitted to use, copy, alter or modify photographs, graphics, videography, or other similar reproductions and recordings from our events without the advance written permission of an authorised designee from FPA Australia.

Marketing and promotion

Promotional or marketing materials can only be distributed at an event with the express prior consent of FPA Australia. Attendees violating this policy will be required to leave the event immediately.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise handle personal information.

Any personal information we collect about attendees will only be used for the purpose for which we have collected it, or as allowed under the law. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles set out in that Act and any other relevant law.

How to Register:

  1. Sign in to your account using your personal login details, 
  2. Click “Register Myself” and select your preferred registration option
  3. Answer any required questions and click “Save Response”
  4. Click “Add” next to your chosen program item(s) (if applicable)
  5. Click “Proceed to Checkout” 
  6. Complete your payment details and enter voucher details (if applicable)
  7. Click “Submit Order”
