This full day course is designed for those that have little to no prior GIS experience and will provide an introduction to QGIS, working with data types, layers, styling, buffering and much more. Ultimately the course aims to teach participants how to produce professional and accurate maps/plans for use in bushfire related reports and documents.
Please note that this training event will be delivered externally by TechnologyOne and will broadly follow their Kickstart program (an extract from the Kickstart program can be downloaded below).

FPA Australia has worked with TechnologyOne to obtain both a discount and customisation of the course content so that it is more specific towards the creation of maps used in bushfire related reports/documents. E.g. the inclusion of buffering around objects.
Please note:
- All catering and training materials are included (no need to bring along your own laptop).
- The training session will only go ahead once 10 people have registered
- The exact time and location of the training session may change, however, it will remain in the Perth CBD on the specified date.
