Recent years have seen the introduction of legislation restricting the types of firefighting foams that can be used in Queensland and a changing regulatory landscape for fluorinated firefighting foams.
Fluorine-free foams (F3 foams) are now being used more often for fire protection, however are they suitable for all foam firefighting applications? Can fluorinated foams (C6foams) be exchanged with F3 foams? What effect on the environment will a foam system discharge cause? Which types of foams can you use where? How do you dispose of old foam and decontaminate equipment? Will F3 foam systems compromise safety? There are these and many other issues currently being discussed due to the environmental regulatory changes.
This seminar will provide insight into these issues being debated and provide the opportunity for attendees to direct questions at experts within affected industries.
