Melbourne Inspect & Test Training Review

Melbourne Inspect & Test Training Review
Due to popular demand, Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) is running a further seminar in Melbourne addressing proposed changes to Certificate II and III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.

The proposed changes to Certificate II and III are some of the biggest developments in fire protection education in Australia in the last decade. The changes support the fire protection industry by recognising the routine service of fire protection systems and equipment as a legitimate and distinct role, separate from other roles such as design, installation and certification.

The Association strongly encourages members to come to the seminar, which will explain the changes and provide information on the feedback process. Feedback from members will safeguard the future of training in the fire protection industry.

The proposed changes to these qualifications, if supported, will mean a significant improvement in the job-readiness of the next generation of fire protection staff. New hires will require less on-the-job training with skillsets already aligned to job roles, perform better quality work, and have a better understanding of their potential career paths.

FPA Australia's input in the development of the proposed new Certificate II and III was led by industry discussions and recommendations made by Association members. We need your help to make sure these recommendations are supported and the proposed new Certificates are successfully passed by having your say in the upcoming feedback period, which runs for six weeks until 16 March 2018.

These are big changes, and good for the industry. Places at the seminar are limited and will fill up fast, so book soon to avoid missing out.

This is a FREE member-only event. Tea, coffee & light refreshments provided.
